As businesses turn on their heels and claw back expenses previously spent on luxury hotels for conference venues, pubs and inns are now top of their list for venue choice.  Recent research carried out by AM Communications over a 6 month period shows that companies are not prepared to compromise on quality of venue whilst looking to save cash.  What this has meant in simple – shopping around for best prices is a time based tasked that can be justified.

A recent conference hotel booking for a company in Chelmford Essex fell through after prices for the facilities were too high – swamping instead for a local boutique pub The Lion Inn.

UK Hotels are now up against traditional pubs and inns who over the last 10 years have gone through extensive make-overs.

Whilst there is still a perception of a pub being associated with the local drunks for a few within society there is undoubtedly a selection of pubs and inns that businesses can rely on for conference venues that would surpass any high standards set by the best conference hotels.

The most popular locations for business venues are not alway the most convenient which is why hotel chains have been able to go market with ‘conference package deals’.  It’s these deals that have turned businesses on for the wrong reasons and swayed their decisions for future business meeting venues and locations.

Out in rural communities are some of the finest UK establishments fit for Kings and Queens whilst maintaining affordability.  Not village hotels but local pubs and inns that have transformed themselves to meet the requirements of business for the 21st century.
