It’s the time of year that you had wished you had booked your New Years party 12 months in advance! Despite the recession the lure of a good party venue is too strong, however tight we pull the purse strings we must celebrate the New Year in and be with friends and family and why not.
2009 for most of us has been testing to say the least. Whilst business is as usual for most and profits are still being made we can only look into the future with hope. Greene King this week (02 Decemember 2009) announced £24.2 profits after 24 weeks of trading, so where will their party be held? No doubt in one of their own pubs in london?
Working hard means playing hard so lets look forward to bring in 2010 and setting our sights on achieving our goals but more importantly being happy. I’m getting all sentimental now. So the big question is, where is the beer, wine and champagne flowing and where do you want to be over Christmas and New Year? Top spots for a break and celebration are always going to be City locations such as London, Manchester, Birmingham and Edinburgh. For some the rural scence will be number one choice.
I don’t want to appear to focus on London but London is certainly the place where fun is to be had. With so many venues to choose from it’s best to spend a good few hours surfing around as there will be plenty of good value offers to be had. Not last minute offers mind! O no, offers that are genuinely there to be had without any desperate last minute bargain basement sell off.
Two great places to stop off at in your search and do use the telephone and talk to the establishments to get the finer details, websites still fail to provide all the correct information so do not rush in an book online.
Fullers have an extensive list as do Greene King.
Happy searching and do let us know your venues of choice
